Variety Club Children's Charity
How Variety supports families
We know that the costs of raising a disabled child are high. On average, families with a disabled child have outgoings that are £600 a month higher than those of families with non-disabled children.
That’s why we part-and-fully fund wheelchairs and specialist equipment for children and young people aged 18 and under who have a recognised disability or long-term health condition. From diabetes monitors to specialist car seats and powered wheelchairs to sensory equipment, we’re here to help

How Variety supports schools and organisations
We support SEND schools and units, mainstream schools and PRU’s, youth clubs, sports clubs, hospitals, hospices and other non-profit organisations that work with children and young people aged 18 and under.
We provide specially adapted accessible transport in the form of our Sunshine Coaches, memorable and life-enhancing experiences through our Great Days Out Programme and grant funding for wheelchairs and specialist equipment. We typically fund sensory rooms, interactive IT and accessible playground equipment and classroom hoists but consider applications for all forms of specialist equipment.
